Empowering Your Patients to Manage Payments

Patients have higher co-pays these days; some of them may even be paying out of pocket. Collecting money due from self-pay accounts can be a difficult and time-consuming for your office staff — unless you outsource to RMHN.

Our experienced collections team recognizes the special circumstances of self-pay medical accounts, in terms of confidentiality and the financial and emotional impact of medical care. We'll follow up with your patients courteously and professionally to negotiate payment arrangements.

We also offer services designed expressly to empower your patients to manage their medical bills:

Our interactive voice response (IVR) technology allows patients to access their accounts by phone, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Patients can: check a balance, make payment arrangements and pay bills via credit card or checking account.
Our recourse loan program allows patients to consolidate medical balances into one account with one monthly payment. It immediately removes patient due balances from your books, requires no credit approval, has a reasonable interest rate and can be tailored to fit a patient's budget.

With self-pay accounts, we operate as an extension of your business office. If you want to continue generating your own billing statements, RMHN can still manage self-pay collections for you. Collection can take place as a separate service or used in conjunction with billing. As our client, you select the option to best suit your practice needs.

With just a touchtone phone, patients can make payments any time of the day or night, without having to talk to a staff member. The transactions are handled by RMHN software, so your costs are minimal.
